ABOUT SHREYAN ACHARJEE 'S BRIEF:-
Shreyan Acharjee is 10 years old. He belong to a middle class Bengali Brahmin family. He is the only son of his humble, down-to-earth parents, Sri, Sujit Acharjee and Smt., Nabanita Acharjee. The luckiest day when he was born to his parents was 6th January, 2011. So far as him birthplace is concerned, it is Cooch Behar, a city and a municipality in the Indian state of West Bengal. But he has been being brought up at Birpara, also known as Dalgaon. It is basically a tea garden territory in Alipurduar District, West Bengal, with minor touches of a town. Truly speaking, dwell in the lap of nature because he belong to Uttar Banga (North Bengal) that has been popular to tourists for its heavenly landscape. My father is a private school teacher. He teaches Math. And my mother is a native house wife. My father's earning is not good enough to fulfil all the basic requirements of day-to-day life but he never makes us feel deprived. However, to be the son of a teacher is a matter of pride to me. He never feel demotivated due to our economic condition because both my parents have compensated that by their love and care.
Coming to myself, I study in class V in Birpara High School. I completed my primary education from Dreamland Nursery and Primary school. Like my father, I'm not a meritorious student. But my parents never rebuke me for that. They always inspire me to work hard to overcome all my weaknesses. When I fail to impress them by my academic results, I try to bring smile on their faces by my achievements in recitation. Yes, I am a reciter. I know I am too young in this vast field, but every time I recite, I try to give my best. I have learnt from books and also my parents that no one is insignificant in this world. Everyone has some hidden talent which needs proper time and care to come to the fore. And I feel blessed that my doting parents have noticed my hidden passion and have been trying heart and soul to nourish it. With their blessing and my dedication, I have hitherto achieved some National awards. Of them, some are mentionable. In 2020, I stood 2nd in a recitation competition organized by Nikhila Utkakal Kala Niketan, under the ministry of MSME Govt. Of India. Then I achieved the National Kala Tilak award from Cuttack Mahotsav. In the same year I acquired an International award from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Moncho Cultural Society. Next, I won another National Award from All India Talent Hunt Recitation Competition, 2020. Recently in 2021, I have stood 1st (National) in 12th Cuttack Mahotsav. Apart from all these I have won many other awards in recitation. I thank god for blessing me with a voice that is pleasing to others and my parents for moulding me whatever I am now.
If recitation gives me motivation, drawing gives me pleasure. I often draw pictures to pass time and I never feel bored when I draw. Though I am not a bookworm, I love to read story books and poems. Besides, I love cycling. With my parents, I live in a school quarter and lead a united life with all our neighbours. I pray to God to keep me blessed forever with whatever talent I have and to give me more opportunities in life to make my mom and dad feel proud of me. Finally, I want to thank Him (the Almighty) for sending me in a family that may not have affluence but has all the ideals that inspire every child to be a good citizen, and above all a man in the true sense of the word.
