ABOUT:

Sujata Dey was born on 10th April 1984. She is parented by Mr. Subhash Ch. Dey and Mrs. Arati Dey and resides at 10/14/2, Ramkumar Bhattacharya Lane, Howrah, West Bengal, Pin -711104. She completed her B.A. with Honours in History from the University of Calcutta, and she is a pass out in Interior design from RVTI for women, (Regional vocational training Institute – Govt. of India undertaking), Salt Lake, Sector–V. DR. Sujata Dey has achieved Many organization-dedicated prizes and is a multiple record holder in her own name.

ACHIEVEMENT’S OF SUJATA DEY
Her biggest achievement -- The Largest Stippling Painting Record Holder, has been recognized by India Book of Records, Asia book of Records, Limca Book of Records, World Book of Records. She has been conferred with Genius Indian Achievers Awards and Genius Artist of the Year 2022 for her feat. She has also been bestowed with Life Time Achievement Award from Magic Book of Records for Book cover and story illustrator, for being a Member Of the Association for Conservation and Tourism, a Member of Neel Shankar International Association, and a Member of Human Rights of India, Observer, Dist-Howrah. Furthermore, she is also an Examiner of Bharatiya Sangeet Academy, and has been the Judge of “Kolkata Shree” Durga Puja (Govt. of West Bengal). Facebook-based Cultural group Notun Bhorer Aalo has conferred upon her the title of "Ankanratna". Being an Interior Designer, she is the founder of Art and Glass Craft Academy and Sujatar Ankan Pathshala.
Sujata Dey’s painting/drawing has acclaimed appreciation from all corners of society. Her works were exhibited in exhibitions held in various galleries in India and abroad. They include exhibitions at the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (Kolkata) in 2016 & '17, Birla Academy of Fine Arts in 2016, and Rajarhat Handicraft Fair, Eco Park 1no. gate in 2017, in Sri Lanka in 2019, at Bangladesh Silpakala Academy, Dhaka in 2018, at National Art Gallery, Kathmandu, Nepal in 2019, at Bangkok, Thailand in 2019, at Nepal Mahotsab, 2020, organized by Nepal Govt. in 2020, at Dubai Art, Gallery UAE in 2020, etc. She has participated in International Competitions as well which include International water color competition and exhibition (Bangladesh) in 2018, Dhaka Shilpakala Academy, Bangladesh in 2018 and in Kankarbhita, Nepal in 2020.
And the list of winning prizes in various competitions, and other awards and accolades too is a long one which includes 1st prize at Rewary Eligant City, Haryana in All India Spot Live Paintings Competition, Gold Medal At Hudco Art Gallery, Delhi in All India Online Competition, Won 2nd Position in Colombo, Sri Lanka, won Famous Personality award in 2019 at AIFACS, Delhi, Outstanding award organized by RETRO KOLKATA in 2019 (taken from our honorable governor), 2nd Prize for Ganesha in Nepal in 2019, won merit award for 'the me, mother & child' at an Online art competition in 2019, won Poet Laxmi Prasad Deukota Park award from Nepal govt. in 2020, won 1st Prize for 'the me, Buddha' at an Online art competition in 2020 & the "Astha” Merit award from Delhi in 2020.
Other than all these, Sujata Dey has participated in Art Camps all around the country in Kolkata, South 24 parganas, North 24 parganas, in Siliguri and other parts of North Bengal, in Delhi and Haryana etc. She has done Art Workshops in North Bengal, Sikkim and other parts of West Bengal and Glass Workshops in Rishra, Hooghly, and in 2020 as a guest artist, performed in New Delhi.
Her work and her social commitments have been highlighted in journals, periodicals and in social media with a high degree of honour. Today her students from Sujatar Ankan Pathshala are also achieving success of the highest order.
