“MBR Honorary Doctorate Award - 2023” is presented to Dr. Milind Vijay Dharwadkar from Maharashtra state for his outstanding contributions and remarkable roles in the field of Social Work and his efforts for eradicating avoidable blindness through his NGO Janmada Eye & Medical Foundation & promotion of Yoga. Milind Vijay Dharwadkar has done diploma in Plastic Engineering, Diploma in Business Management, Diploma In Optometry & Diploma in Journalism and is the founder and Director of Ace Communication having business experience of more than 20 years.
He started his own Cybercafe in Badlapur way back in the year 1997, but due to high internet charges and fewer awarenesses, the business was not doing well. In March 2018 Milind Dharwadkar started Little Blossoms Pre-School Nursery & Activity Center. In October 2020 he ventured into the food business in the name of Cherry Blossom Food Products.
He works in the field of eradication of avoidable blindness through his own NGO Janmada Eye & Medical Foundation by doing eye checks of school-going children, till now their NGO has screened almost 1 Lakh students from 45 schools in Badlapur, Ambernath Kalyan & Surrounding areas as nowadays children are very addicted to mobile & TV, he has plan's to work for the eradication of Blindness which will help to make Maharashtra Blindness free. Which is a dream of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis. Milind and his family don’t take any donations from anyone and contribute money for this project through his own profit & from his parents, and sisters.
He is also associated with Rambhau Mhalgi prabodhini a premier training institute that trains youth for socio-political issues and has traveled to many states of the country and was also a member of a youth exchange program & Youth Leader's Conference held in Shanghai in December 2018. Milind Dharwadkar has also been awarded as Idol of Maharashtra by the prestigious Sakal Media Group in August 2022. He is also involved in mentoring college students and is associated with the NSS division. Milind Dharwadkar is also associated with Yoga as he is the treasurer of Maharashtra Yog Shikshak Sangh Thane District
