“MBR Honorary Doctorate Award - 2023” is presented to Dr. Konkyana Venugopalarao from Andhra Pradesh state for his outstanding contribution and remarkable roles in the field of social service and journalism. He has made several efforts to improve the professional skills of journalists by organizing several awareness seminars under the aegis of the Press Club. Konkyana Venugopalarao worked as the District headquarter Reporter of Andhra Bhoomi daily newspaper for a decade. He worked as a Reporter for Andhra Jyothi Daily, Satya Television Staff Reporter, and a news reader. He is also worked as a President of the Press Club, Srikakulam for 3 terms. Konkyana worked as State Secretary, State Vice President of APWJF in the United Andhra Pradesh. Presently he is holding the post of Vice President of APWJF of Navyandhra Pradesh & Member of the editorial board of working journalist Samachar Sravanthi & State Council member and district Secretary of Akhilabharata Santhi Sanghibhava Sangam (AIPSO) & Vice president of District Chess Association, District Taekwondo association, Lifestyle of Jaycees International Organization.
Conducted many Medical and other awareness camps in rural villages. He has taken an active role in Samaikyandhra’s agitation. He has made several efforts to improve the professional skills of journalists by organizing several awareness seminars under the aegis of the Press Club. He is a Social Activist & Journalist. On behalf of Andhra Pradesh the Indian Journalist Union team visited the India-Pakistan border Wagah border in 2014. He also distributes of clothes and blankets to nomads, poor Christians, and Muslims.
Indian Working Journalists Federation (IFW) in 2009 participated in the National Council meetings held at Dharamshala and was a Buddhist teacher. Dr. Konkyana Venugopalarao met the Dalai Lama. Honoring Shatjung Rinpoche, Prime Minister of Tibet. He has also conducted free dental and eye clinics. They have Distribution of food items to those from other states who are trapped in the district during the lockdown due to Corona He has made several efforts to Management of mega medical camps and blood donation camps in the district. He provides services for Helping cancer victims and helping poor students and athletes. He has conducted blood donation camps.
And Dr. Konkyana Venugopalarao conducted Awareness classes for university students on Women - Protection Acts Organization of International Women's Day celebrations every year. He is honoring and encouraging women who are talented in various fields. He is conducting awareness classes on women’s empowerment, and the Annaprasad distribution program to the poor and sick during Lactan.
On behalf of 8 decades of history of the Quit India movement, a tribute to families of soldiers, a rally with national flags. He is conducting meetings for the protection of consumer rights.
