Honorary Doctorate Award (Honoris Causa) is presented to DR. Hema Vanasarla from Hyderabad, Telangana state for her meritorious contribution in the field of Classical Dance. She is contributing her life in Learning as well as Teaching Classical Dance. She also runs her own Dance Institution. It has been recorded in Magic Book of Record.
With her passion and respect towards arts, initially she trained students at free of charge at her home. Slowly the tiny seed realized to grow and started the dance institution “SVS Kala Niketan” with a struggle to reach the light.
Her dance performances at local temples inspired many other kids to join in institute. Within no time she started 2 branches in Hyderabad. Till now she trained more than 200 students and some students finished dance certification courses under her guidance.
With her proper planning and punctuality, she professionally managed job career and passion by training to her students. She excelled in many roles as a performer, teacher, organizer,and guide. She proved herself as the youngest multi-tasking lady to the world and signaled that nothing is impossible.
Presently,after marriage with the support of her husband SasidharJannu, continuing the online and offline dance training by pursuing her second master’s degree.
DANCE JOURNEY:
Started learning dance at the age of 5 years from school age in Hyderabad. Due to her father’s work transfers moved to various states within India. With the encouragement of parent started “Dandiya dance” in Gujarat, “kuchipudi Dance” from Guru Sri Krishna Ayar in Tamil nadu at srirangam patnam in 2002, again moved to Chattishgarh continued “Dandiya dance” in shankracharya school.
She restarted her Kuchipudi training in 2010 under different gurus in Hyderabad. Gurus Chinta Adhi Narayana, Nirmala Visweswara Rao, Himabindu Vangara helped her to resume her dance carrer.Predominately she is continuing her training under the famous Gurus “Dr.VanajaUday” and “Smt. Padma Kalyan”
AWARDS AND ACHIEVEMENTS:
• Received gold and silver medals at age of 13 for best dance performance.
• Second Prize in inter school competition of Rangareddy district in 2008.
• Best Youth Classical Dancer Award in inter college competition in 2014.
• "Best Dancer" award from Hyderabad Mahila Mandal committee in 2015
• "silver” award from backward welfare Association of twin cities in 2015
• Then Genius world record award from Mayuri arts academy in 2016
• Ugadi puraskaram award from Right kid academy of Hyderabad in 2017
• Received “Young Multi-tasking lady award” from Cyient office on women’s day celebration in 2017.
• Received NatyaKalaratna, Natya Mayuri awards from Bharat arts academy.
• some mementos and appreciations from Telangana Endowments Department for organizing cultural events in the temples.
• Many more appreciations & felicitations in national and international level.

• Champion in kabaddi, received gold medal in 2007.
• Received memento for as best Female captain in Inter school competition in 2008.

ABOUT:
Hema (born to Vanasarla Venkateswara Rao & Sudheera Rani on 5th Oct 1992) is an Engineer and Classical Dancer. Her parents originally hailed from Andhra Pradesh but settled in Hyderabad. She finished her graduation in Mechanical engineering from JNTU and joined in Cyient as a Design engineer. As she is passionate about dance parallelly trained as a classical dancer and performed at many dance shows. Though she was busy with her dance shows and job, simultaneously finished masters (MTech) and Kuchipudi Diploma.With her passion and respect towards arts, initially she trained students at free of charge at her home.
