APJ Abdul Kalam Award is presented to Bighnaraj Purohit from Cuttack, Odisha state for his innovative works and remarkable roles on Civil Engineering and Social Work. We are conveying our best wishes for her success or achievements. It has been recorded in Magic Book of Record.
Bighnaraj Purohit is a Life member International Association of Hydroligist(IAH) ,Charted Engineer of the Institute of Engineers of India (IEI) and Life member of Indian Road Congress (IRC).
He involved in designing of Hydrolic Structure and in planning and execution of Kharakhara Irrigation Projecect (Diversion Weir) in draught pronedishit of western Odisha i.e Kalahandi to Provide Irrigation to 2000ha. He is also in charge of construction & maintenance of Irrigation Command of Hirakud Dam Project of Odisha and in charge of maintenance of the undivided Mahanadi River in the Deltaic area of Odisha. And also he is in charge the maintenance of Naraj Barrage, Mahanadi Barrage, and Birupa Barrage during a flood in river Mahanadi and in charge of maintenance of the flood embankment of different rivers Deltaic area of Odisha in Kendrapada, Puri & Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur District.
He appointed as Nodal Officer (i.e. Trainer of the trainees) of “MO SARKAR” of brainchild of the Hon’ble Chief Minister. DR. Bighnaraj is sharply minded person. He has been completed his Secondary Education at Manikeswari High School 1983 with scored 91.70% . He comes (7th Position in the State Odisha). He had done his Higher Secondary Education (1985) from Govt. College Bhawanipatna and scored 85 % (4th Position in the University) .
He started his first job when he was appointed as Assistant Engineer in Govt. of Odisha in Department of Water Resources, Odisha Feb:-1991 and Promoted to the rank of AEE Feb:-2014 and again Promoted to the rank of Executive Engineer in the Department of Water Resources, Govt. of Odisha & Promoted to the rank of Superintending Engineer in the Department of Water Resources.
Apart from his civil engineering works, he is also working some social activities for development of nation in Cuttack, Odisha. Now he is the role model for today’s youngster and other peoples for nation building.
