The un-precedented Corona pandemic has affected the life and health of people across the country including Karnataka state. nation underwent a lockdown phase from 25-03-2020 to 17-06-2020, whereby all the economic activities stopped across the country inducing large scale migration of labour, hardships to poor people and shortage of essential commodities including food, water and cocking, gas.
Dr. R.S. Raju, Ex-Vice Chairman, Central Horticulture Mission Government of India, (Home address: No.403, Harsha Nilaya BHEL Layout, RR Nagar, Bengaluru-98), made extra ordinary contribution by providing essential goods and services, food items, water, masks and sanitizers to the tune of approximately INR 1.5 crores in Bengaluru City to extremely poor people on request from the Police authorities.
