Madhutamo Sen is a microbiologist, educator, artist, cinematographer, director, writer, editor and photographer with significant expertise in biological and microbiological sciences.
A student of University of North Bengal, he went on to get his research published under the supervision of professor Dr Payel Sarkar. His paper Microbial Spectrum of Bacterial Keratitis and Conjunctivitis, as well as his review on Covid and its proposed development patterns, has received critical acclaimation.
An educator by passion, pursuing the role of a mentor of biological sciences, is well recognized and appreciated by his students and holds the distinction of teaching impoverished students for free.
He has been the recipient of professional degrees in the fields of fine arts, cinematography, photography, direction, animation. He is the founder of the Sufi rock band Reeyat, and via his social cinema, he has gained public fame in the field of filmmaking and staged arts. Cine Swapno Productions, his most recent cinematic venture, has won more than 50 international film awards.
He is a distinguished delegate for a number of cinema organisations, as well as the North Bengal University Alumni Association, or NBUAA. He is also a published author, with his third book set to be released soon.
During Covid's trying times, he has been actively involved in social work, providing economic, medical, and social services.
