We glad to record our honour for Dr. Rishiraj Pathak who achieved so many awards from national and state level in the field of Sanskrit. He has been as a speaker by various universities and institutions for lectures and demonstrations on Vedas, Music, Drama and Poetry. Also he has composed various original compositions in Sanskrit, Hindi and Brajbhasha for various Indian classical dance forms. You are a best social personality, outstanding performance and dedication to hard work.

Dr. Pathak has been the University topper and Gold Medallist both in his Bachelor's Degree in Sanskrit ‘Honours’ (2009) and Master’s Degree in Sanskrit (2011). Thereafter, he attained the Doctor of Philosophy from the Sanskrit Department, Delhi University, for his thesis subject ‘A Comprehensive Study on the Phonology, Semantics and Musicology of the Sāmavedic Accents’ (2015).
Dr. Pathak had the great fortune of having learnt the recitation of the popular forms of all the four vedas through Guru Mukh Parampara. He has received recitation training from Shri Guru Gangeshwaranand Chaturved Shodh Sansthan, Ved Mandir, Nasik, Maharashtra and Kotkasim, Rajasthan. He has had the opportunity to receive the training of the recitation of Sāman chants of the Kauthumaśākhā from Shri Nandan Mishra and Dr. Lambodar Mishra. He has learnt the Preliminary hymns of the Śākalaśākhā of the Ṛgveda under the apprenticeship of Shri R. Ramesh Bhatt, and the Śaunakaśākhā of the first canto of Atharvaveda from Shri Atmaram Pondel, during the period 1997- 1999. Dr. Pathak hails from the lineage of the Mādhyandinīya tradition of the Śukla Yajurveda, hence, has received its knowledge and instructions from the eminent Vedic Scholar, Acharya Shri Rameshwar Dayal Sharma (1999-2004) and at present, is learning the KāṇvaŚākhā of the ŚuklaYajurveda from Dr. Chandan Kumar Mishra.
Dr. Pathak, following his intrinsic interest in Music, received its initial training from his father Shri Narayan Pathak in the Rasiya folk tradition which belongs to the Braj region, the land of Lord Krishna. Thereafter, he was trained in Indian Classical music by Smt. Rita Bokil, Padmashree Pandit Madhup Mudgal and Shri Rajendra Sharma at Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Delhi, which is one of the foremost school of Indian Music. He has also received training on the percussion instrument, Tabla, from Ustad Abdullah Khan and Shri Tansen Srivastava (2000-2005). Owing to his interest in Music and other classical art forms, Dr. Pathak, also received preliminary training of Kathak from the renowned Kathak Dancer Smt. Monisha Nayak (2011-2013). Dr. Pathak has been awarded various degrees in different musical disciplines. These are -

Dr. Pathak has a keen interest in unfathomed areas of Sanskrit and Music that are often not compiled in the University syllabi. He has conducted a special study of some of these texts, which he has learnt through Guru Shishya Parampara or self-cultivation. Some of the prominent ones are:

Dr. Pathak is an indomitable talent, in the field of Sanskrit Poetry. Two of his poetry texts named Ādyonmeṣaḥ (2016) and śrīmadūdhamasiṁhacaritam (2019) have been published from Devavani Parishad, Delhi. In addition, He has also edited four sections śrīhīrakaprābhṛtam and five sections of Nārāyaṇa-racanāvalī. More than 30 of his research papers and articles have been published in various journals. His articles on ‘Vedādhyayanakevibhinnapāṭha-prakāra’, a comprehensive study on the various traditions of Vedic Studies and ‘Sāmaveda-śikṣaṇameṁkūṭākṣara’, a decoding text of the code letters used in Sāmaveda learning, are some his most notable entries in the ‘Mind, Morality and Motives: Learning’s from Indian Traditions’ a Responsive Research Project undertaken by the Indian Council for Social Sciences Research under the Ministry of Human Resource Development. Dr. Pathak has presented papers at various international and national research seminars on various subjects related to the Vedas and Indian Classical Music.
Dr. Pathak has been invited as a speaker by various universities and institutions for lectures and demonstrations on Vedas, Music, Drama and Poetry. He has also had the opportunity of preparing the syllabus and text for the subject, ‘Sanskrit Meters and Music’ for the Under Graduate Course (CBCS) of the Delhi University and was invited as an examiner of Sāmaveda by the Maharishi Sandipani Rashtriya Ved Vidya Pratishthan, Ujjain.
Dr. Pathak has been invited to various forums for Sāmagāna to present the Sāmavedic Chants, of which the most notable ones are Sangeet Natak Akademi, Delhi Sanskrit Academy, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi, India Habitat Centre, Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan etc.

Dr. Pathak has independently and with Shri K. S. Rajendran, the former theatrical director, of National School of Drama, Delhi, directed and counselled music and expressions for various Hindi and Sanskrit plays. Dr. Rishiraj Pathak (born 8th March 1989, Delhi) is a noted Sanskrit Scholar, proficient in the Vedas.
