Amita Marwah is awarded "BEST ACHIEVER’S AWARD-2021" as the title of “IRON LADY OF INDIA” by Magic Book of Records on Sept 10, 2021, in the field of Art, Dance and Culture Promotion.

ABOUT

Amita Marwah is 44 years old woman and she going to share her story, the challenges she has faced in Martial Arts field. She used to learn martial arts in school as well as college, what she learnt back then was that people who deserved didn't get the chances because of politics and even financial problems; she had a dream to teach the students free of cost so that nobody faces these problems. But she was married off at 22 because and her dream just got left there only. After having two daughters, she got them into a martial arts academy and in which she got admission too! Amita Marwah’s husband supported her in this decision!
Amita Marwah is 3rd degree black belt in 3 Martial arts, Art, dance and culture promoter, Pranic healer, pranic feng shui expert, pranic psychotherapist, have done Bhushan in kathak and proud mother of Two daughters. Her daughters are also black belt in martial arts, elder one is a good artist and younger one is a Kathak dancer too.
Through this her journey began, She has started participating in competitions with her children, today; she has around 40 medals in which 13 are international medals. In 2011, with the support of her family she started a society AMAT - Amita Marwah Activity Team which is a Haryana Government Registered Society in which the underprivileged children are taught Martial Arts all free of cost. The students belong to families of Rickshaw Pullers, vegetable vendors, daily wage labours and other occupations like this. They have around 450 students associated with him from different slum areas of Chandigarh and Panchkula.
After the establishment of the society instead of supporting her, she was critised a lot as Martial Arts is a male dominating field and also because they were giving free classes instead of running it like a business as the others did! The coaches did everything they could do to demotivate her either it be character assassination or partiality! Our students who practiced in the soil whereas the others practiced with proper equipment and mat but this didn't stop them from winning which made the other coaches even more problematic!
After five years of training and hard work the result started to come, in which 20 of our students are International Medalists, 3 Students are now National Institute of sports certified Coaches, 12 students are state referees, 4 of the students are working as martial arts teacher in reputed schools and more than 100 students are state and national Medalists.
The struggle keeps on going, they have to settle the other students too but in between this there are more than 75 awards that She has received as a social worker for the upliftment of slum children, some of them she is mentioning below:
